Dr. Bauer-Olson was born and raised in Fargo.  She attended MSUM and received a BA in Biology. Prior to medical school, she worked as CNA and unit clerk in Oncology, NICU, and Rehab units.  She credits this start in the medical field as creating a strong foundation of service and instilling the importance of collaboration with ancillary staff in her practice.  “The day one of the Oncologists helped me make a bed like it was just part of his job was pivotal for me. I  have taken that with me throughout my schooling and career.”  She attended Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center graduating in 2004 and FM Residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA.  She worked for a multispecialty clinic in Moorhead for 13 years before starting independent practice.  She is board certified in Family Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Heartland Healthcare Network.

I practice full-scope Family Medicine from obstetrics/newborns to the elderly. We are able to provide well care and acute care needs to you and your family. As an Osteopathic Physician, I also perform Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy.

My Philosophy

My goal is to share with the community a unique primary care option providing a continuum of approaches from holistic to contemporary tailored to each individual's health care needs. I strive to provide advocacy for my patients in a safe, calming, and comfortable environment.

My life’s passion is to help my patients lead healthier, fulfilled, and more beautiful lives. This isn’t a job to me but a calling. I work hard to make decisions with my patients, to be empathetic, compassionate, and straightforward. Your care should be a collaboration between you and your doctor.  I get to know my patients and have personal relationships with them.  I often get from them just as much as I give. My patients are never a number or initials but individuals with personal stories and families that I care to know about.  I believe that prevention is central and make it a priority.  As a Doctor of Osteopathy, I feel strongly about the whole body approach to medicine and the idea that everything is connected.
